  • Nan Barnett

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    Nan Barnett (she/her) is a new play developer and producer and an advocate for theater-makers and the theater they make. While on NNPN’s Executive Committee she worked to create the organization’s revolutionary Rolling World Premiere and Residency programs and, after joining NNPN full-time in 2013, guided it through the development and launch of its field-altering New Play Exchange and the planning process which resulted in the organization’s much-lauded new governance and membership structure designed to lead the field towards a truly diverse, equitable, and inclusive new play ecosystem. Nan spent 24 seasons at Florida Stage, a LORT theater producing exclusively new and developing work, and was Coordinating Producer for the 2015 and 2018 iterations of DC’s Women’s Voices Theater Festival.  

  • Anne G. Morgan

    PROGRAMS DIRECTOR

    Anne G. Morgan (she/her/hers) is a dramaturg, arts administrator, and new play advocate. Anne works regularly with the Playwrights Realm, the Playwright’s Lab at Hollins University, Great Plains Theatre Conference, the Kennedy Center, and more, as well as collaborating with playwrights individually. She is currently the Board Co-Chair for Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas. Anne received the 2019 Elliott Hayes Award for Outstanding Achievement in Dramaturgy for her work on Shakespeare’s New Contemporaries, the American Shakespeare Center’s groundbreaking new play initiative, which she ran from 2017 - 2021.   • Monica Montoya

    MEMBERSHIP & ENGAGEMENT DIRECTOR

    Monica Montoya (she/her/ella) is a producer, project manager, and digital marketing & communications professional. Beginning her career in Social Media at R6S, she went on to spearhead communications and operations for CAFFE Strategies, an EDI consulting firm. She has served as the Marketing & Communications Associate at NNPN Associate Member Theater Boston Court Pasadena, the Marketing & Communications Manager at ALJP Consulting, and as a Communications Consultant for NNPN Core Member Theater Studio Luna, where currently serves as a Creative Producer. In addition to her work in communications and marketing, she has served as a Project Manager for Genein Letford Consulting and Alumni 360, and she is a Project Manager for Culture Change Lab.

  • Rose Figueroa

    DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

    Rose Figueroa (she/her) is a stage manager, arts administrator, and new play advocate. Rose is the resident stage manager at Theatre Lab and a member of the Actor’s Equity Association. Rose has also stage managed at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre, Triad Stage, and La Jolla Playhouse. Rose has served as the Operations Manager for ALJP Consulting. As a new play advocate, she uses her skills to amplify the voices of artists; her human-centered practices when facilitating the development and artistic processes made her an asset to the industry nationwide by creating an atmosphere that nurtures collaboration within development of groundbreaking new works. She is a certified Mental Health First Aid. Rose also serves on the board of the Florida Intimacy Professionals.

  • Sara Reilly

    DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

    Sara Reilly (she/her/hers) is an operations manager, arts administrator, consultant, and development professional. Sara began her artistic journey as a performer and stage manager, before transitioning into operations and development focused roles at various arts organizations in the Washington DC metropolitan area. She is passionate about theatre for social change, especially the development of new works that uplift and share the stories of women, LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC individuals from all around the world. Prior to joining NNPN, Sara served as the Operations Manager and Resident Assistant Stage Manager at Maryland Lyric Opera, leading their operations, marketing and development verticals. Sara is the Founder and President of The Woodshire Group, an arts focused consulting firm committed to collaborating with and adding value to organizations of all sizes through strategic planning, fundraising, project management and operational support. She has earned her Certified Associate in Project Management certification from the Project Management Institute as well as her Professional Scrum Master I certification from Scrum Alliance.

  • Nathalie Thomas

    MARKETING STRATEGIST

    Nathalie Thomas (She/Her) is a native Brooklynite of Afro-Caribbean descent. A dynamic Marketing Strategist and Arts Administrator recognized for her innovative contributions at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Manhattan Theatre Club, The Second City, and The Alliance Of Resident Theatres/New York. She is steadfastly committed to grounded marketing, storytelling, community engagement, and equity and has profoundly impacted the theatre and film arts and culture landscape. As the driving force behind Nook Productions, Nathalie leads creative projects through all stages of development, focusing on efficiency and innovation. Her approach to creative development, strategic planning, and workflow optimization is reflected in the success of the Colored Girl Chronicles web series. She has collaborated with various independent artists and clients, including the Bushwick Film Festival, Brave New World Theatre, Black Retail, Power House Dance Company, and Connected Speech Services. Whether building marketing departments from scratch, shepherding new short films, or advocating for equity within arts administration - as done through the WeAreART/NYCoalition. Nathalie's dedication to storytelling and leadership continues to shape and inspire, leaving a lasting legacy.

  • Alexandra Meda

    IMPACT ASSESSMENT DIRECTOR

    Alexandra Meda (she/ella) is a Director and Cultural Strategist known for her groundbreaking work in collaborative artistry and ensemble praxis. With an unwavering commitment to inclusivity and amplifying marginalized voices, she creates transformative works through collective practices. Meda is a strategic facilitator and mediator through her firm, The Culture Change Lab, guiding organizations through transformative change processes focusing on anti-racist initiatives and anti-oppression curricula. Meda has made significant contributions to various organizations in the arts and culture field, including Penumbra Theatre's Center for Racial Healing, as part of the facilitation team.

  • Jenna Place

    PROGRAMS ASSOCIATE

    Jenna Place (she/her) is a director, educator, and administrator based in the DMV (DC, MD, VA area). As an administrator Jenna has been Associate Artistic Director of Olney Theatre Center, Resident Casting Director at Theater J, Associate Producer at Forum Theatre, Artistic Associate at Imagination Stage, and spent many years as a freelance Casting Director in the DC area. Her casting work included individual productions and full seasons with Mosaic Theater Company, Adventure Theatre MTC, Studio Theatre, Theatre Alliance, and more. Jenna currently teaches at Catholic University of America and directs both in the DMV and regionally with passions for new plays, Shakespeare, and musical theatre (and is happy to talk your ear off at any time about her belief in the seamless intersections of those forms).

  • Christine Stanley

    SENIOR DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT

    Christine Stanley (she/her) is a passionate advocate for the arts, engaging the community and donors in the life of theater, music and the performing arts. Christine also teaches in the arts administration at Shenandoah Conservatory at Shenandoah University. Other projects have included the Washington National Cathedral, where she worked with the Cathedral’s artists, fundraising, and communications teams to develop a strategic plan for the expansion of the presentations for the Cathedral’s arts programs. Prior to that, she served as the Director of Development for Washington Performing Arts Society. For five years, Christine served as the director of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s campaign for a new $300 million concert hall.

  • Gwydion Suilebhan

    PROJECT DIRECTOR - NEW PLAY EXCHANGE

    Gwydion Suilebhan (he/him) is a writer, innovator, and arts advocate who serves as the Executive Director of the PEN/Faulkner Foundation. A founding member of The Welders—a Helen Hayes Award-winning playwrights collective in Washington, DC—Suilebhan was elected to the Council of the Dramatists Guild of America in 2017. He speaks widely on various aspects of the intersection between the arts and technology in the 21st century; notable appearances have included South by Southwest, TEDxWDC and TEDxMichigan Avenue, and Americans for the Arts. Suilebhan earned a Master of Arts in poetry from the Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in writing from Northwestern University.

  • Siobhan Carroll

    MANAGER, HIGHER EDUCATION PARTNERSHIPS - NPX

    Siobhan Carroll (she/her) is a lifelong theatre lover who has brought her 20 years of experience working in education to the New Play Exchange. Siobhan manages our education partnerships—currently over 65 members strong—across colleges, universities, and high schools in the US and abroad. Siobhan is a graduate of Villanova University and resides in North Carolina with her husband and three young daughters, whose penchant for drama grows stronger every day.

  • RP McLaughlin

    NPX SUPPORT SPECIALIST

    RP McLaughlin (they/he) is a freelance Arts Administrator, working with arts organizations nationally to fill gaps and strategically increase capacity. RP managed the $20M Open Studio renovation of Washington DC’s Studio Theatre, spent two years as Producer-in-Residence at National New Play Network, and was the Producing Associate for the 2018 Women’s Voices Theatre Festival. RP has experience as a Casting Director and Arts Market Research Assistant. He received his BFA in Theatre from Southern Methodist University. ImRyanPatrick.com
