Madison Fiedler is a playwright from North Carolina. Plays include SPAY (2023: winner of the American Theatre Critics Association’s M. Elizabeth Osborn Award; 2022: extended-run world premiere at Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, Jeff Award nominee for Best New Work, Susan Smith Blackburn Prize nominee, Steinberg/ATCA New Play Award finalist; 2021: Princess Grace Playwriting Fellowship runner-up, FAU TheatreLab; 2020: Kilroys List, Florida Repertory Theatre’s PlayLab; 2019: National Showcase of New Plays), SCREECH OWL (2023 Studio Theatre workshop; 2021 finalist: Playwrights Realm Writing Fellowship, Leah Ryan Fund for Emerging Women Writers, Theater J’s Patty Abramson Prize; semi-finalist: Jewish Plays Project’s Jewish Playwriting Contest, Fault Line Theatre’s Irons in the Fire), IF GOD CAME A CALLIN (Barter Theatre’s Appalachian Festival of Plays & Playwrights), THE INCUBATORS (Westport Country Playhouse’s New Works Initiative), EXALTED (IRT Theater, New York Theater Festival) and I TALK TO THE FLOWERS (Skidmore College, University of Kentucky).
