Leonard Madrid is a New Mexican theatre artist. He has worked as an actor, designer, director, improvisor, and educator in the Albuquerque area for over twenty years. He has been the recipient of the Kennedy Center’s Latinx Playwriting Award three times. He participated in the Ignition Festival at Victory Gardens Theatre, the Ground Floor at Berkely Rep, and the Festival Internacional de Teatro Universitario in Mexico City. Most recently, his play Cebollas was featured as part of the Colorado New Play Summit.
