NNPN THEATERS RECEIVE FIVE EDGERTON AWARDS

NNPN member theaters Marin Theatre Company, New Jersey Repertory Company, Performance Network, Salt Lake Acting Company, and Victory Gardens were recently named recipients of 2009 Edgerton Foundation New American Play Awards. They join 22 other theaters nationwide receiving the prestigious grants, which doled out a total of $772,000 for the season.

The Edgerton Awards provide theaters with funds to pay for extended rehearsal time with a full production team - including the playwright - onsite at the producing theater. Since its inception, the Edgerton Foundation has given almost $2.3 million to 73 theaters. The one-time grants range from $5,000 to $75,000.
